Coal headwear is looking for a Marketing Manager. This person will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for the Coal Headwear brand. The marketing manager will ensure all marketing efforts stay consistent and on brand. This role will cover a broad range of marketing endeavors. The role is best suited for a highly competitive and well-rounded individual who can learn quickly and adapt to daily challenges. Must work well with team members and be collaborative with other departments in an open work environment. This individual will also need to be a self-sufficient creative thinker that acts with a sense of urgency and takes ownership in all marketing responsibilities for Coal Headwear.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitate and manage all Coal Headwear marketing initiatives to support (including but not limited to): Brand marketing strategy & planning, product launches, catalog, content creation, events, tradeshows, sales meetings, direct to consumer initiatives, media/PR relations, public relations, retail marketing, digital and social marketing.


COMMUNICATIONS:

Create and execute brand ambassador strategy while maintaining budget, program goals and obtaining content. Examples of coal branded content include photos, social media posts, events, photo shoots etc.
Write copy and aggregate photos/video for social platforms, website content and catalogs
Collaborate with design team on the creative direction and inspiration for seasonal themes,
collaborations , photoshoots and campaigns.

Communicate Coal marketing plans with internal team, sales reps, and distributors on a regular basis through tools like mailchimp, in person presentations and other communication platforms.
Provide monthly insight, reporting and ROI for all marketing plans.
Own & manage press and media relations and communications.
PROJECT MANAGMENT:

In collaboration with the Coal General Manager, and key stakeholders, build and manage yearly marketing plans and budget for the season.
Build & manage content strategy ¨†seeing it through to execution on Coal’s social media channels,digital platforms, and media partners.
Build and execute Go-To-Market Calendar (GTM). GTM must be published and adjusted weekly to ensure highest ROI.
Work with the following teams to meet shared goals and complete shared initiatives: sales reps,distributors, ambassadors, brand partners, OEM partners, C3 customer service team.
Work closely with the inhouse Coal design team as well as the adjacent C3 teams to execute
seasonal campaigns and launches.
Partner with creative, product, and OEM teams to identify key seasonal partners and collaborators (brands and ambassador). Build out GTM for these initiatives and execute on marketing plan that supports Coal strategies and its partners.
DIGITAL MARKETING:

Manage all social media platforms. Publish, manage & monitor all marketing campaigns and day to day activities.
Partner with C3 Ecommerce manager to support online initiatives.
Strategize, manage and measure direct-to-consumer advertising.
GENERAL:

Passionate leader who champions the coal brand both internally and externally.
Partner with the design team on creative marketing execution. Support team on new product launches and catalog.
Partner with C3 customer service, sales reps, and distributors, to identify, create, manage, and execute retail marketing strategies with key retailers worldwide.
10-15% travel throughout the year (events, tradeshows, sales meetings)
QUALIFICATIONS:

4+ years of marketing experience.
Consumer brand, fashion, retail, Snow Industry or Outdoor Industry experience a must.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and years of experience.
Strong social and digital marketing knowledge is a must.
Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer marketing.
Up-to-date with latest trends in digital marketing, social media, and marketing.
Accountable for project delivery, standard of excellence, and marketing operational effectiveness.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and innovative thinker.
Hard working, organized, detail-oriented and has a high standard of proficiency.
Excels in interpersonal relations and maintains a sense of teamwork in a deadline/goal driven
environment.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Familiarity with social management solutions and communication tools like mail chimp.
Copywriting background a plus.
